Bruce Lin, born in Xinying, Tainan in 1960, moved to the Netherlands in 1989 and began his artistic creation in 2015. Although he is not from a professional background, he has a keen sense of thinking and observation of the things aroundhim, and he refers this experience to artistic creation.  After living in Europe for more than 30 years, coupled with the needs of work, he often shuttles between the countryside of European countries, so he remembers the vast and quiet countryside under him, and stirs up his unique poetry on the canvas.

His compositions are inspired by what he has seen and heard, and the colors are bold and heavy, and the impasto lays out the composition, presenting a compressed layering between flat and three-dimensional. Lin Chunyuan is good at using the transformation of shapes, and the scenery and still life figures in his paintings are mostly in the form of original shapes such as squares, circles, vertical cones, cylinders and other blocks, absorbing and transforming, and recombining and arranging them to present a peculiar atmosphere and perspective proportions, intuitive simplicity and simplification, presenting a whimsical space with a strong personal style. Commonly seen in his field scenes, each picture is so impressive that he can sketch the image in his mind without taking pictures and copying it. When creating, the inspiration that flies from outside the sky is often not directly related to the scene you see at the moment. He often uses the changes in the warm and cold colors of the four seasons to transform them into the reproduction of life experiences in his memory. Lin Chunyuan once said: "My paintings have my world, and the people who look at them also have his world, because everyone's life experience is different, and the joys, sorrows, and sorrows are also different.
